wine kits
I’ve got a party coming up in a fortnight and I’ve just shelled out on 8 wine making kits. Does anyone…

…have any special tips on how to make the wine? Like should I add spices or anything to give it a more fruity flavour. I want to be innovative and I’m not afraid of trying new things. Please, does anyone out there make wine who can advise me on what best to do?

I don’t know what a fortnight is but if it means you have some time, then sure you can make some changes in the kit. You can take a Merlot kit for example and add another fruit juice and end up with a flavored wine. The one I tried was zinfandel that had a strawberry added, I got a strawberry Zinfandel.

Most commonly kit wines are very dry, so once they are ready to bottle you can add a stabilizer, and then sweeten to you taste and bottle,

Keep in mind most red kits advise after bottling you should wait three months for it to age some there is a big difference in the taste over that three months. White wines and blush wine is more forgiving and are ok as soon as ready to bottle, but they too will even out over a few months.
